Beautiful 32 pt. 2

After my party, everybody was spent (pun intended), but I wasn't ready to go home. Being the "party animal" that I am (lol), I let mom go home and asked Keshala if she could take me to Coffee Call. Coffee Call is about the only cafe open after 10pm. It's a Baton Rouge tradition, a spot for delicious cafe au lait and melt-in-your-mouth beignets.
I had forgotten that I was wearing the birthday sash that the charming ladies at Charming Charlie had given me so when the cashier at Coffee Call wished me a happy birthday, I was quite surprised for a second until I remembered the sash.  She asked me how old I was. Without hesitation, I said, "Thirty-two, but I know. I know. I look 25" *chuckles* I went on to tell her about a barrister at Starbucks who said that I didn't look a day over 25. He was being really sweet, of course. Well, Keshala and I shared a few more silly laughs with the lady before grabbing a seat and enjoying our coffee, beignets and conversation. As we were sitting, the cashier approached our table holding a tray and saying, "I gotcha" with a big grin. When she lowered the tray to present to me the number 32 created out of beignet dough, I was SO surprised! I'm sure I squealed. I do remember my cheeks hurting again from smiling. The picture above is of me with the surprise beignets. Wonder if I could make those. Hmmm...
Later, I opened my sweet and generous birthday gifts and called it a night (morning) some time after 4 o'clock in the MORNING. See, told you I was a party animal. Tee hee hee.

Officially charmed!
